Balers sweeten the daily life of chocolate factory!

From 20 – 23 March 2018, the international fair for the food and beverage industry Anuga FoodTec takes place in Cologne, Germany.

The german manufacturer Strautmann Umwelttechnik GmbH presents its disposal solution especially for the food and beverage industry in Hall 8.1 Stand B110/B118.

In these industries lots of raw material supplies effect a high amount of packaging material as cardboard, film or PET bottles. The famous chocolate manufacturer Ludwig Weinrich GmbH & Co. KG from Herford, Germany knows the problem of high quantities of cardboard and film. For over five years the chocolate manufacturer has relied on Strautmann’s economic disposal solutions. With an amount of 11 balers on three floors, Weinrich efficiently, quickly and economically disposes of cardboard and film. The employees are happy about short distances and an internal disposal which is absolutely independent of wind and weather.

The disposal solutions of Strautmann are exhibited live and in action at the fair. Strautmann will present balers, a dewatering press and a semi-automatic baler at the fair.

Disposal of cardboard packaging and film
Balers: With a quantity of 5 up to 280 tons of cardboard or film every year the purchase of a baler is economical. The small footprint of balers allows an installation directly where material accrues. Employees thus have short walk ways to the disposal solution. The disposal process runs quick and easy. The volume of the material is reduced so that there is more free space. The compacted material into bales with a weight of 30kg up to 450kg makes the disposal lucrative.

Disposal of cardboard
AutoLoadBaler: Predestined for the disposal of cardboard packaging. With an automatic feeding system employees do not have to worry about disposal anymore. Cardboard is collected in the collection trolley and then slides directly into the machine within seconds. One press on the start button and the collection trolley empties itself. With a press force of 530kN the material is then compacted into 450 kg directly marketable bales. The employees are thus free from manual insertion and tearing of the cardboard. The reduction of walking distances saves up to 4,000 hours a year. The disposal solution is unique, economical and time-saving.

Emptying and disposal for PET bottles, TetraPak® and cans
LiquiDrainer: The dewaterer empties and devalues filled PET bottles, TetraPak® and beverage cans. Even whole containers can be emptied. The cost intensive manual opening of PET bottles is no longer necessary. The dewatering press empties up to 10,000 1L PET bottles in just one hour. A rotating rotor pierces the material so that the fluids can escape. Up to 99% residual draining isensured. The small footprint and machinery weight of 665kg enable mobile use. The LiquiDrainer is safe, fast and economical and can be installed by Plug & Play.
